Process

Fulfilling your dream of having a custom-made gown is possible even if you reside outside Cebu, Philippines. If you have your heart set on a custom-made ‘Ia Coca’ ensemble, below are step by step instructions to guide you through the process and ensure effective communication.

Inquiry

Set up an appointment with us by sending an email to iacoca@iacoca.com. Please include key dates and details for your wedding. Providing some examples of design that you like or inspirations help the designer understand your personality and style. For clients who can’t visit us in person, include full-length photos of you from the front, side and back in fitted clothing. This will guide the designer in creating a look that best flatters your figure.

Booking

A quote will be made based on information and photos provided. Upon booking, a downpayment of 30% is required based on the agreed price. Ia Coca Atelier works on a limited number of orders per month. We therefore suggest that you book your wedding date as early as 8 months before the wedding day.

Consultation

You and the designer will then talk about your very own dress/wedding gown to determine the right shade, silhouette and any desired embroideries or details for your dress. A sketch is made based on the information and your design pegs. Your wedding gown design is a collaborative work in progress and your personal inputs and ideas will be taken into consideration for any design changes. Please note that changes in the design and fabrics used must be finalized before production starts. Once the design is finalized, your measurements will be taken. Clients who are unable to meet in person can be provided with a detailed, but easy to follow measurement guide, or can be instructed via video call.

Production

Depending on the level of design sophistication, a dress normally takes a 4 to 8 weeks to finish. Rush orders can be accepted for a fee, contingent on production capacity and design.

Fitting

Fittings depend largely on your availability. If in-person fitting is not possible, we can readily send a mock dress ensemble for fitting. Photos of the actual dress can be sent for you to see the production progress.

Payment and Shipping

Your dream wedding dress is complete and you’re on your way to becoming a blushing bride! Payment of the remaining 70% is due upon the agreed completion of the gown with the client. The dress can either be picked up or delivered, or as a full service option, we can personally deliver the bridal gown to your destination outside Cebu. All shipping costs and taxes are the responsibility the client.
